The Sound - The Amazing Jean "Toots" Thielemans (1955 Columbia LP)

NOTE: Diga Diga Doo is now correct. There is a noticeable skip in the first :30. Nothing i could do about it.

Here's another jazz gem from the 50's I re-discovered recently in my record library. I've cleaned up most of the ticks, pops and surface noise. Nothing needs to be said about Toots. This is great album of easy listening jazz. Toots plays harmonica on all tracks and is heard on guitar (overdubs) on a several. Additional backup musicians on various tracks include Lou McGarity, Al Godlis, Billy Rauch & Jack Satterfield on trombones; Oscar Pettiford, bass; Tony Mottola, guitar; Cliff Leeman, drums; Artie Beck, alto sax and clarinet; Carl Prager, bass sax and clarinet, Beroge Berg, tenor sax & clarinet; Ray Bryant, piano, Wendess Marshall, bass, and Bill Clark, drums. Enjoy!
